Rustic country weddings have a feeling that’s hard to manufacture — and Evermore doesn’t have to try. The barn has been standing since the 1870s, the farmland stretches across 45 acres, and the whole property has that rare quality of feeling completely removed from the rush of everyday life. It’s typically booked as an all-inclusive package, so most of the vendor coordination is already sorted before the day even begins.
Here’s the part that surprises most couples: Evermore sits on the birthplace of Dr. James Naismith, the man who invented basketball. The Naismith house — where the wedding party gets ready and where you can stay the night — carries that history quietly. It’s not a museum, it’s warm and lived-in. But knowing what happened in those walls makes the morning feel a little more extraordinary.
For us, shooting at Evermore means having space to breathe. Wide open fields for golden-hour portraits, textured barn walls that hold light beautifully, ceremony spaces that don’t need much dressing up. The property does the heavy lifting — we just show up and pay attention.
Dreaming of a country wedding at Evermore? We’d love to hear what you have in mind — the season, the setting, the moments that matter most to you.
